Under the provision of Rule-8 (1A) of the Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment General Rules-1967, a certificate of having basic knowledge of computer application will have to be submitted.

A candidate for admission to the examination must be (a) a citizen of India or (b) a citizen of Nepal (c) a citizen of Bhutan or (d) an exile from Tibet who came over to India before 01/01/1962 and permanently settled in India or (f) an Indian person formerly in Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and the countries of Africa - Kenya, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, Malawi, Zer, Ethiopia, United Republic of Tanzania and India - intending to settle permanently in intends, but persons of category (b) to (f) are eligible from Gujarat Govt.
