Ministry of Finance Vacancy 2023 – Other Details –

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Whole Time Member (WTM) in the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

A Whole-time Member shall have the option of drawing a salary – (a) admissible to an Additional Secretary to the Government of India; or (b) consolidated pay of Rs. 4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs only) per month as recommended by the Seventh Pay Commission and subsequently accepted by the Government vide Resolution dated 25 July 2016.

The terms and conditions of service of WTM shall be regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Terms and Conditions of Service of the Chairperson and Members) Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time.

The WTM shall hold office for a term not exceeding 5 years and shall not hold office beyond the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, and shall be eligible for reappointment. Detailed description of the post can be seen in Annexure I.
