• A total of 3,000 scholarships will be provided to girl students across the country. A scholarship of Rs 36,200 per annum will be provided for the duration of two years or for the entire term of the post graduate course.

Indira Gandhi Scholarship Single Girl Child 2022-23: Eligibility Criteria:-

• To apply for the scholarship, the applicant must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:-
• Applicants must have taken admission in the first year of REGULABLE, full-term master's degree course in any recognized university or postgraduate college.
• The applicant must be the only child of his/her parents. Applicant should not have any siblings, however girl students who are TWAIN sisters/siblings can apply for this UGC scholarship.
• Applicant's age should not be more than 30 years at the time of admission to PG course.
• Applicants seeking admission in PG course through distance mode are not deserve for this scholarship.
• There is no income criterion for the applicant to be serving for this scholarship.

• Applicants will need the following documents to apply for this scholarship.
• Scanned copy of Aadhar Nomination / Aadhar Card.
• Applicant's photo.
• Self-attested copy of previous class mark sheet.
• Fee receipt of the current course.
• Affidavit on stamp paper of Rs.50 duly attested by First Class Magistrate/Gazetted Officer/SDM mentioning that she is the only child.

• Only those girl students who are in the first year of PG course are eligible for this UGC scholarship.
• Applicants are not entitled to receive any additional grant in lieu of hostel fee, medical fee etc.
• Under the scholarship, the host institute does not charge any fee from the award victor.
• After the completion of one year of the award of scholarship amount, the applicant is required to submit his/her progress report in the prescribed format to the designated bank (Canara Bank), on the basis of which the funds (scholarship) will be released to the beneficiaries for the next academic year. goes. This report should be duly signed by the Head of the Department and Registrar of the University or Head of the Institution or Principal of the College.
• Applicants should note that if they discontinue their studies without prior intimation to the UGC, they will have to refund the entire amount directly to the UGC account through e-mode (RTGS/NEFT).
