The educational qualification in Indian Coast Guard West Region Recruitment 2022 has been kept as follows.
Engine Driver:
10th pass from a determined Board or equivalent and Certificate of competency as Engine Driver from a identified Govt. Institute or equivalent.
Sarang Lascar :
10th pass from a identified Board or equal.
Certificate of competency as Sarang from a Govt. recognized Institute or equivalent.
Fire Engine Driver :
10th pass from a Board or equivalent.
Possessing a heavy vehicle driving license with three years of understanding of driving heavy vehicles in any confidential or Government Organization/ Institute.
Civilian Motor Transport Driver (OG) :
10th standard pass.
Must possess valid driving license for both heavy and light motor vehicles.
Electrician / Electrical Fitter (Skilled):
Matriculation or equivalent.
Should have successfully finished apprenticeship from a recognized/reputed workshop in the Electrician/ Electrical Fitter trade under Apprentice Act 1961 or under any other Apprenticeship Scheme. OR
should have completed a training course in the Electrician / Electrical Fitter trade from an ITI recognized for this purpose and have 1-year of trade experience. OR
4 years experience in the work for which no training is available in the Industrial Training Institute or other identified organizations.
Should qualify for a trade access examination.
Welder (Skilled):
Matriculation or equivalent.
Should have successfully finished training from a recognized/reputed workshop in the Welder trade under Apprentice Act 1961 or under any other identified Apprenticeship Scheme. OR
Should have completed training course in the Welder trade from an ITI recognized for this purpose and have 1 year trade experience. OR
4 years knowledge in the trade for which no training is general in the Industrial Training Institute or other identified institutions.
Should qualify a trade entrance examination.
Mechanical Fitter (Skilled) :
Matriculation or equivalent.
Should have successfully finished apprenticeship from a recognized/reputed workshop in the Mechanical Fitter trade under Apprentice Act 1961 or underneath any other identified Apprenticeship Scheme. OR
Should have completed training course in the Mechanical Fitter trade from an ITI recognized for this purpose and have 1 year trade experience. OR
4 years of knowledge in the trade for which no training is available in the Industrial Training Institute or other identified institutions.
Should qualify a trade entrance examination.
Turner (Skilled):
Matriculation or equivalent.
Should have successfully finished apprenticeship from a recognized/reputed workshop in the Turner trade under Apprentice Act 1961 or under any other identified Apprenticeship Scheme. OR
Should have completed training course in the Turner trade from an ITI recognized for this purpose and have 1 year trade experience. OR
Should qualify a trade entrance examination.
Forklift Operator :
Matriculation or equivalent.
ITI or other recognized institutions.
Carpenter (Skilled) :
Matriculation or equivalent.
ITI recognized for this purpose and have 1 year trade experience. Should qualify a trade entrance examination.
Lascar :
Matriculation pass or its equal from identified boards.
MTS (Peon) :
Matriculation or equivalent pass.
Experience: Two years' experience as office attendant.
Unskilled Laborer :
Matriculation pass or ITI from recognized institutes.
Experience: Three years' experience in the trade.
MTS (Mali) :
Matriculation or equivalent pass.
