A ration card for 10 crore citizens of about 83.1 lakh families will be made by the govt. 42 lakh ration cards will be made by the Haryana govt. for families coming APL, while 24 lakh ration cards will be made for other piracy households. Apart from this, 13.1 lakh ration cards will be made for the families falling below the poverty line and 4 lakh ration cards will be made for the citizenry coming down the Antyodaya Anna Yojana.

Benefits to the families of Below Poverty Line and Antyodaya Yojana:-

5 kg wheat will be provided at the rate of ₹ 2 per kg to all the BPL families & 35 kg wheat will be provided at the rate of ₹ 2 per kg to the beneficiaries down the Antyodaya Yojana. Citizenry coming below the poverty line and citizenry coming downs Antyodaya Anna scheme will be provided 2 kg of sugar at Rs 13.50 per kg, 7 liters of kerosene at the value of Rs 13.63 to Rs 14.58 per kg.

Types of Ration Card:-

APL Ration Card:  Above Poverty Line ration card is for families coming APL, any people from Bihar can apply for this ration card. The color of the Above Poverty Line ration card is orange. No income has been fixed for Above Poverty Line ration card.

BPL Ration Card: BPL ration card is released for the families coming below the poverty line, the annual income of the families coming APL should be below Rs. 10000. The color of the Below Poverty Line ration card is red.

AAY Ration Card: antyodaya Anna Yojana Ration Card has been released for very poor families whose economic condition is weak. If no income is fixed or there is no income, they can apply for this antyodaya Anna Yojana Ration Card. The color of the antyodaya Anna Yojana Ration card is yellow.
