Online applications have started for the scholarship of fee reimbursement amount to the girls taking admission under the Girls Distance Education Scheme 2022 started by the Rajasthan government in the direction of getting higher education to the girls and women of Rajasthan (Balika Durasth Shiksha Yojana 2022).
Online applications of Girl Distance Education Scheme 2022 will be filled from 02 December 2022 to 31 December 2022. In order to provide higher education to the girls and women of Rajasthan, the Government of Rajasthan has implemented another new scheme. The name of this government scheme is Girl Distance Education Scheme.
Those girls and women of the state will be linked to this scheme who cannot go to college and university regularly due to various reasons. Along with this, the government will also reimburse the fees paid to these girls and women to the institutions for pursuing higher education.
Hon'ble Chief Minister has announced " Balika Durasth Shiksha Yojana " in the budget 2022 to provide distance education to those girls and women who are unable to attend college or university regularly due to family and other reasons. Budget announcement number 317.0.0( 2022-2023) and the amount is fifteen crores. Under this scheme, the fees for UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate courses etc. will be reimbursed. This financial assistance can help in improving the Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) for girls of Rajasthan especially in distance education as well as the ratio of female and male proportional representation in higher education, which is reflected in the Gender Parity Index (GPI). ) and it will ultimately lead to true women empowerment.

Now the girls and women of the state will get reimbursement of fees paid by institutions for higher education through distance education. With this, they will be able to improve their future by continuing their studies. For this, Shri Gehlot has implemented 'Girls Distance Education Scheme' in the state. Rs 14.83 crore has been sanctioned under the scheme to benefit a total of 36,300 girls and women every year. Such girls and women, who cannot go to college and university regularly due to various reasons, will be linked to higher education through distance mode.
