In the wake of massive protests against the Agneepath scheme, the central government on Saturday announced 10 percent reservation for Agneepath in the vacancy of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles. The Ministry of Home Affairs also decided to relax their eligibility criteria from 17.5 years to 21 years by three years for the vacancy of Agneepath in CAPFs and Assam Rifles.

Exclusively the first batch of recruits will get a relaxation of five years over and above the prescribed upper age limit as per govt. rule.

The Center unveiled the Agneepath Yojana (Agneepath vacancy Scheme) for the Armed Forces on Tuesday, 14 June 2022. Amidst protests in different cities of the country regarding this scheme, the Home Ministry has made a big announcement on Saturday. The Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to reserve 10 percent recruitment for Agneepath for recruitment in the Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles Agneepath Yojana Recruitment 2022.

The central government is planning to recruit Agneepath in CAPF and Assam Rifles in the country. Due to which protests are taking place across the country. This protest has disturbed the peace of the country. Violent demonstrations are taking place in many states of the country regarding the Agneepath Recruitment Scheme. Armed forces will start vacancy under Agneepath scheme from next week.

• Let us tell you that in this scheme, for the vacancy of government candidates in two forces, Agneepath were given 3 years relaxation from the upper age limit as per govt. rule.
